Mr. Arshian is a Sr. Managing Partner of Pioneer Law Company (PLC). He has over more than 18 years of impeccable experience in handling the resolution of disputes involving civil, corporate, banking, privatisation, constitutional, service law, and commercial litigation before Pakistan’s High Courts. He also represented both corporate and public sector businesses in a range of such issues throughout the world Mr. Arshian has extensive experience in the Energy, Commercial, and Corporate sectors over his legal career.
His relevant experience includes the implementation of power projects, corporate regulation, commercial and civil litigation, public procurement, the drafting of project agreements and commercial contracts, energy laws, banking laws, Contract Law, Labour Law, Trials, Family Law, Copy Right & Trade Mark registrations, Guardian & Wards, Constitutional Law, Human Rights, Service matters, Renewable Energy Law, Constitutional Law, Legal Drafting, Intellectual Property, and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCCI), among other areas of expertise.
Mr. Arshian is actively involved in litigation before Pakistan’s superior courts, advising & drafting documentation for his clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint venture companies & projects. He has also worked with (CPEC) project companies, government entities, and federal and provincial departments, including the (CPEC) Authority, the Ministry of Power, the Alternate Energy Development Board (AEDB), the Punjab Power Development Board (PPDB), the Energy Department of Punjab, NTDC, SECP, NEPRA, and PEC.
Mr. Arshian also served as Country Head of Legal for the group of (CPEC) Chinese Project Companies, namely Zonergy Company Limited’s 900 MW Solar Power Project in Laal Sohanra, Bahawalpur, Punjab, in all regulatory, legal, commercial, energy purchase agreement, implementation agreement, compliance, and corporate matters. Among the 900 MW, 300 MW of solar energy has already reached Commercial Operations Date (COD), and he has been involved from the start until the COD. Mr. Arshian continued to assist in the preparation of a range of business contracts, including agency, franchise, and joint venture agreements.
Mr. Arshian also worked on electricity laws and regulations, developing applications for generation, transmission, and distribution licences, counselling clients on tariff structures and obligations, and representing clients during NEPRA pre-grant hearings. Additionally, he has extensive experience advising on National and International bid documents etc.
